this journal was created by oceancurrents, in an attempt to have fun with turning thirty years old. the idea of turning thirty was dreaded, despised and overall hated. however, on the morning of her thirtieth birthday, she had an idea. why not embrace her thirtieth year? why not give herself a little project, a project of taking one new self-portrait every day for that one year. at the end of that year, she would then have a visual collection of that so-called dreaded year. and at the end of that year, she might just look back and realize that it wasn't so bad after all.

kerry. 30 years old. living in miami, florida. completely obsessed with photography and is never without a camera at hand. the tools of the trade are a nikon coolpix 4100, polaroid sx-70 sonar auto focus, sony DSC-F828, pentax *stD, and a polaroid one 600 ultra.

"everything is a photo opportunity." i live by that. there is beauty in everything- you just have to be open to seeing it all.
